XtoMP3, Multiformat MP3-Konverter

Konvertiert verschiedene Audio-Formate nach MP3

Viele portable Media- oder MP3-Player können nur MP3's abspielen. Die Audiosammlung auf der heimischen Festplatte besteht aber meist aus einer Vielzahl von verschiedenen Audio-Formaten. Formatkonverter gibt es mehr als genug, die meisten Freewaretools können aber meist nur eine Auswahl an Formaten umwandeln oder erfordern viele Einstellungen bis alles läuft. Um also alle Audio-Dateien in verschiedenen Formaten in einem Verzeichniss nach MP3 umzuwandeln sind viele Mausklicks und Benutzereingaben nötig.

Nicht aber mit XtoMP3.

XtoMP3 ist ein einfach zu bedienendes Autohotkey-Script welches als Frontend für diverse Komandozeilentools dient. Es werden alle unterstützten Audio-Dateien im ausgewählten Verzeichniss nach MP3 gewandelt und die Orginale gelöscht, also vorher eine Sicherung der Orginale machen, falls diese noch benötigt werden oder ein Fehler während der Umwandlung auftritt. Es werden MP3's mit variabler Bitrate und hoher Qualität erzeugt. Dazu wird der Lame-Encoder genutzt.

XtoMP3 muß nicht installiert werden. Einfach XtoMP3 downloaden, die 7Zip-Datei entpacken, die ausführbare Datei XtoMP3.exe anklicken, Verzeichnis mit den Musikdateien auswählen (die man vorher gesichert hat!) und warten bis die Konverter Ihre Arbeit getan haben. Danach findet man alle Audiodateien im MP3 Format im gleichen Ordner wieder.

Wer kein Programm zum entpacken von .7z-Dateien hat, nimmt am besten 7-Zip. Anregungen und Tips sind gerne gesehen. Das .ahk-Script ist im Archiv enthalten. XtoMP3 ist auch ohne Autohotkey lauffähig.

Kflux looks like a killer patch for Max for Live, a granulator you can drop in for sound-bending effects and, if you’re decent with Max, open up to learn more about how it works or edit to customize for your own purposes. At EUR9,99, seems like a must-buy if you’ve got a copy of Max for Live.

Features:

• Automate parameters on the Live timeline, envelopes thanks to M4L’s functionality
• Make streams of grains, big clouds, textures, and the like
• Multimode filter
• Transposition
• Static, sequenced, and MIDI-triggered modes
• Freeze or bounce tracks
• Unlocked; open, edit, and reuse. (Looks like it could use an explicit license there, such as a GPL or CC in order to avoid confusion, but nice to see nonetheless.)
